Who runs Excurvo, and what it refuses to be
Excurvo is a small software product for operators who sell seats on dated departures: walking and bus tours, adventure and outdoor trips, boat charters, kayak and equipment rental, attractions, escape rooms and party venues. It is made and sold by Ellul Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England, and it is funded by one thing only, the subscription. There is no commission on a booking, no lead sale and no advertising.
Why this site exists
This site exists because the arithmetic a booking desk does every day is not published anywhere in a form an operator can use in ninety seconds, and the software that does it is sold by a call with a salesperson. The worksheets put the arithmetic on the page for nothing, and the product is what happens when you want to keep the answer.
Who it is for
The owner or office manager of a tour, activity, charter or rental business who takes bookings and has to answer for a manifest
Not the traveller buying a seat, not a fitness studio, salon, restaurant or hotel, and not an event planner or venue
What it does not do
- It does not rank booking vendors or publish a score for them, because it competes with them and a ranking written by a competitor is worth nothing
- It does not give legal, tax or insurance advice, and the terms and cancellation wording on these pages are a starting point for your own lawyer, not a substitute for one
- It does not sell your enquiry, your guest list or your booking data to anyone, at any price
- It does not publish traveller prices or tell a guest what a tour should cost: this site is written for the person who owns the departure

Who writes Excurvo

I run the company behind this site and I wrote the worksheets on it. I have spent the last decade building records software for small businesses that sell a thing at a fixed time, and what started this hub is how much of a tour operator's week is spent defending a number: what a guest was told they had paid, what the manifest says, and what the last nine seats should have cost. Everything here is arithmetic you can check against your own book, and where a page states something outside it, I name the document and the day I read it.
